As Mike built out his own cryptocurrency mining operation, he had to overcome several challenges, such as: 1) Evaluating and buying the “right” ASIC miners; 2) Negotiating electricity contracts; 3) Vetting colocation companies; 4) Choosing a mining pool and payment structure; 5) Finding comprehensive insurance; 6) Managing defective miners and dealing with manufacturers; 7) Forecasting downtime and load shedding. While overcoming these challenges Mike thought to himself, “there has to be an easier way!” As a result, Mike launched Supplybit.
